This story is set in Japan 14 years after the Battle of Sekigahara (1600), in which Tokugawa Ieyasu defeated the Toyotomi regime and became the ruler of Japan. Sanada Yukimura, a warrior who sided with the Toyotomi, is imprisoned in Kudoyama at the foot of Mount Koya, living a life of secrecy alongside ninjas who continue to serve him as his retainers.
However, the situation changes drastically when Ieyasu declares his intention to “overthrow the Toyotomi”, fearing that the young Toyotomi head Hideyori might rebel. Yukimura, having met Sarutobi Sasuke, a ninja boasting genius-level skills, decides that the time is finally ripe and resolves to escape from Kudoyama to help the Toyotomi family! Sasuke joins forces with ninjas loyal to Yukimura and charges towards the greatest battle against the Tokugawa family—the Siege of Osaka.
Facing numerous adversities, including intrigue among comrades, clashes of beliefs, and unexpected schemes and betrayals, the ten ninjas—the Sanada Ten Braves—fight with unwavering determination, forging strong bonds with their true comrades, and confronting their arch-enemy, Ieyasu, who has seized absolute power.
